Hi, Recently got into upscaling old pictures. Feel free to post your pics and I'll try to upscale them. Softwares used-
AVCLabs Photo Enhancer AI
HitPaw Photo Enhancer
Topaz Gigapixel AI
Adobe Photoshop.
Some examples below. Originals over 10 yers old. Upscaled pics have some editing done in Photoshop like, brightness, saturation, etc. Will post upscaled version of request without Photoshop. Questions welcome.

As a FYI, the Forum does cut off, and downsizes images at, or above, 4K.

So, you may want to use a 3rd Party host for these situations.

How does AVCLabs and HitPaw compare to Topaz? I've only used the latter.

Both AVCLabs and HitPaw are better than Gigapixel when it comes to recreating facial and body features. But both make skin look flat, i.e, no textures. I use Gigapixel as mask to add textures on top of AVCLabs or HitPaw ones in Photoshop. Examples below. The last pic has Gigapixel on top of HitPaw.

Interesting. Can you improve this pic of Tundi Horvath? It's a really noisy magazine scan but there's no better quality out there.

Are you using the latest Gigapixel 5.8.0? They recently added better face refinement which can produce much better results than their older versions.

Now that I've used it a bit I agree that HitPaw can produce some stunning results.

I'm using Gigapixel 5.7.2. Will try the latest version.

I thought that was mostly done using the clone-stamp tool in photoshop.

Have you tried a Google search by, Free Image Enhancer?

Though, much of the free stuff, will have Watermarks. And, sometimes, either too f'n big, or right smack in the middle of the photo.
