this thread is for members to list the numbers that this horrific virus is inflicting on everyone.

As most of y'all know, the hoarders are in full swing here in the USA. Buying up everything, and leaving very little for the rest of the people.

Now, while they are 100% to be blamed for the current shortages, I have to blame the management of the stores for not implementing procedures to reduce this.

...

ARIZONA:
As a native Phoenician (Phoenix, Arizona), and since I just moved from there last August, I am following the CV situation, as most of my relatives live there:

Despite the low numbers, the stores, including Walmart Supercenters are stripped bare of a lot of basic necessities, and food.

CALIFORNIA:
I lived there for 15 years. So, a few friends, and former coworker:

FLORIDA:
I lived there for 21 years, and still have some extended family, and several friends:

GEORGIA:
On 18 March (8 days ago), and of the 159 counties in Georgia, only 27 had about 100 cases / 0 deaths.

At noontime (UTC -4) today, 99 counties had 1,547 cases with 47 deaths.

Just 7 hours later, at 7:00P.M. (UTC -4), those numbers jumped to 101 counties, with 1,643 cases with 56 deaths. That is 97 new cases and 9 deaths in 7 hours!

57% of the cases are in the 18 to 59 age range.

(has ranged from 56 to 59%)

Though, some good news. The county in which I reside has remained stable with only 2 cases for the past 4-5 days.

This is not something to fuck around with people.

If you do not have to go out, DO NOT go out.

Other than to take the garbage out, and check the mail, I have only been out once. And, that was back on the 18th when I went to do what little shopping I was able to.

Luckily, there is several food delivery services. So, as long as restaurants allow take out (some have temporarily closed down; Waffle house closed 400 locations), I won't starve.

In Michigan we have 2,856 cases and 60 deaths. Most of those cases are in the Detroit area. Our governor issued a "stay at home" order, and ordered non-essential businesses to close. I haven't noticed much difference as people are still out and about. I went shopping today and while it wasn't too crazy but they were out of Ramen noodles.

People won't be able to put up with it, and will be out and about rubbing elbows. Unfortunately they will be the kind you won't want to be rubbing elbows with.

Las Vegas we have 350 cases and 10 deaths, not nearly as bad as some places sure but when there's 6 million people crammed together in this city it worries me. Las Vegas is closed for business, also the strip is abandoned and dark now and no one travels downtown. All essential work is still open I'm still going to work every day. But it's been mostly quiet around here.

With no tourists in town I thought I wouldn't see anyone while I was at work but I see tons of locals around now, most of us wear face masks and try to distance ourselves. I think it's nice to see that for a city so dependent on tourism we've been getting along find with out them.

I traveled into the quarantine zone to see how it looked, full on apocalypse mode, abandoned, it was incredibly eerie with out a soul in sight, and all you can hear is the wind blowing through the streets.

Wow! Those empty shots of the strip, looks like a empty back lot at a film studio, or something.

Total apocalypse, indeed.

Now, according to the map (I since posted the link in the first post), the Western states are less seceptable to it.

So, let us hope that there is something to the warm regions are less prone to get it.

Well guys, in just 13 days, Georgia has had over a 5 x increase in cases; up to 10,885 cases (all but 4 of 159 counties), and 412 deaths. My county, has had a 6x increase in less than 10 days.

And, these numbers are probably lower than actual. As this doe not include asystematic people, or those who went to the Dr before knowing what we had, and got better.

I think, things are going to get quite a bit worse.

And, based on what happened in Wuhan, and unless the plasma antibodies work, and is approved for general use, the US is looking at sometime in August before it's over.

Ontario has been....well it hasn't been great, but it's been better then expected. And calls for even more testing are slowly getting in gear. Our premier finally clued in that following his idol off the cliff would make his political party unelectable for the next half century, and has been mildly competent. Which of course has a decent amount of electorate signing his praises, because the average voter is a fucking moron.

But ya back to topic, it's not the worse in Canada (that's Quebec.....whoops), and I am SO glad that we closed the border weeks ago.

We have lockdown effective in Germany as well. Normally that park is crowded with people if there's nice weather but some places feel like you're in a ghost town.
I'm still working as we are a cargo airline and still have lots to transport. No one that I know has been infected.
No gym, no motorbike,no foing to the lakes...I'm gonna end up with cabin fever if this lasts all summer:sneaky:

I love that this is a nudie/boobs site, but you care enough about the membership to post stats. :emoji_hugging: At the end of the day, we're all human beings living in a really weird, scary time. This reminds us all of our fragile humanity, and I appreciate it.

In Ohio, we have 5, 386 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 227 confirmed deaths, according to the state's coronavirus website.
The amazing thing is that our Governor has been a real leader in trying to keep the curve as flattened as possible, and this week hasn't been nearly as horrible as originally predicted. I'm really grateful for our state's leaders and how they are handling things.
On the flip side, we still have nutjobs in our state who think the "Stay at Home" order is unnecessary and infringes on their right to infect everyone else.
The photo below was taken by a local reporter at the Ohio Statehouse a couple of days ago.

Here in Florida it gets worse & worse. There has been 2 cases where I work, 2 cases in my zip code alone in my city, 10 or 12 in my city proper (as of a few days ago, surely it’s more now).
I feel awful for states with Governors who don't take this seriously. They're jeopardizing lives. It's devastating.

My personal opinion of our Governor here is that he’s done an adequate job. Other states may have done more, some others less. At the end of the day Mayors up thru the President are handling this step by step as they see fit. There is/was no right answers laid out ahead of time. AND it’s up to each individual to take care of themselves & make decisions on their own if able. Just my own two cents!

Well, in my humble, but pretty well-informed opinion, there are leaders in many states undermining efforts to stem the spread in the name of the economy, freedom, etc. As charming as it is to think that our actions don't affect others, they absolutely do. And since we lack adequate testing, we won't be able to know the extent to which we've succeeded or failed until the dust settles and proper treatments/vaccines are created. In the meantime, though, the folks who refuse to social distance endanger others' lives.

Agree 1000%. People need to exercise their due diligence for themselves & others. I never wanted to punch a group of zoomers more than I did when I saw they were still Spring Breaking it over in Clearwater. Get drunk next month fools, stay home this month.

OMG, right?? UGH!
It's really hit home for me knowing folks whose loved ones weren't able to fight off this disease. There's so much suffering involved, and at a time when we can't properly mourn them with funerals and people in attendance. One gal in our community lost her parents and brother within two days of each other, all while she has been in quarantine with her daughter and her husband is still on a vent in the ICU. I can't imagine so much loss in such a short span of time and being unable to be present for them.

This lock down can't go on much longer, other wise we will start seeing peoples' mental health being affected and huge increases in suicides, which will be worse than whatever the virus can do. The police are already saying there is an increase in domestic violence. Luckily I live alone but I can't imagine how bad it must be to be locked in a house with people who annoy you. Even people you like become annoying if you have to spend all your time with them.

The "Stay at Home" order here in Ohio is on until May 1st.
